What is SoulTown?

SoulTown: Thị Trấn Tâm Hồn ("Town of the Soul") is a 3D game that runs in your browser. It is inspired by a Vietnamese town at night: lantern-lit streets, a pagoda, a church bell tower, a tea stall by the road. You create a character, wander around, step into a building, find a free seat and do one small thing for a few seconds.

Each correct action earns a point. At the end of a round you get XP and coins; levelling up gives more coins, and coins buy clothes, hairstyles and accessories. No long quests, no story you have to follow. Drop in whenever you like and leave whenever you like.

  • No chat. Other players only see your name, look and level.
  • No pressure. No player-versus-player, nothing to lose.
  • A few minutes at a time. A round lasts 10 or 30 seconds, with 10 rounds per activity per day.
  • One seat, one person. If a place is full, join the queue and the game tells you when a seat opens.

A health reminder. Playing more than 180 minutes a day is bad for your health. SoulTown is designed for a few minutes at a time: rest your eyes, move around and spend time with the people you love.

Made with respect. The temple and church are simulated spaces for a few quiet minutes. They are part of a game, not a religious service, and do not replace visiting a real temple or church. There are no ads in either place.

How to play

  1. Create a character. Pick a channel, a name, skin tone, hair and outfit.
  2. Walk around. On desktop use WASD or the arrow keys, Space to interact, Q/E to turn the camera. On a phone, drag on the left half of the screen.
  3. Take a seat. Enter a place and sit down, or stand at a work station.
  4. Play a timed round. 10 seconds at the temple and church, 30 seconds elsewhere. Every correct action is +1 point.
  5. Collect rewards. Points turn into XP and coins, and count toward that place's weekly leaderboard and titles.

Leaderboards and titles

Each place has a weekly leaderboard standing right in the room; the temple has an Honor Board for spiritual points and the tea stall has its own. Tap a board and the camera glides up to it, showing the top 100, which you scroll right on the board. Every place also has 5 title tiers unlocked by your total points there, from Good Pupil to Grand Scholar in class, for example. Wear one and it shows under your name.

Fashion and mounts

LINH BOUTIQUE sells outfits, hairstyles and accessories for coins, including job outfits like an apron, a courier jacket or a school uniform. The Rare and Mounts tabs offer special skins and seven mounts: skateboard, bicycle, motorbike, horse, flying broom, flying carpet and a flying dragon. These two tabs use gems.

Day and night

A full day in town lasts 30 minutes and follows server time, so everyone shares the same sky. The temple bell rings at 5 am and the church bell at 6 pm, game time.

Where to play

Open soultown.online on a computer or phone, including inside the Zalo and Facebook in-app browsers. Nothing to install. The game is available in Vietnamese and English.

FAQ

Is SoulTown free?

Yes. Every place, every activity and every coin item is free. Only gems, used for rare skins and mounts, are an optional purchase you never need in order to play.

Is there chat?

No. You see other people walking and sitting nearby, but nobody can message or comment. The only thing players write is a short wish on the temple and church boards, which is filtered.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Open soultown.online in your phone browser, including the Zalo and Facebook in-app browsers. Phones use a virtual joystick on the left half of the screen.

How is my account saved?

Tap "Play" and you get an account right away; progress is saved on the server. To play on another device, create a username and password in Settings. You also get a recovery code, and you can delete your account in the game at any time.

What are gems?

Gems are an optional currency used only for items you can see before buying: rare skins and mounts. Gems cannot be turned into coins, are never used for games of chance and do not help you climb leaderboards.
